Research has suggested that cell phone use while driving, whether that is through text messaging, sending an IM, or talking on the phone, will impair a driver's ability to concentrate to greater depths than drinking and driving. Due to these studies, states across the nation are implementing cell phone laws which ban the use of cell phones while operating a vehicle. When Bluetooth first started, this technology was only available on newer and more elite phone models, however due to the pressing nature of cell phone laws and bans, almost every phone on the market is enabled with Bluetooth technology that will allow you to use a Bluetooth adapter and still talk on the phone. If you are a heavy driver and use your phone while driving, a Bluetooth adapter is a definite must to protect yourself and other drivers on the road and in some states, may be mandatory.
